War in Kyrgysztan

Kyrgyzstan - Osh. Those who have returned to their homes, sit in the ashes of despair...

To help the churches in Kyrgyzstan is our holy duty...

Dear friends of the ministry, we can not remain indifferent to what happens in Central Asia. In cooperation with local brothers and sisters in Bishkek, we want at least do something to help the victims of this political turmoil in Kyrgyzstan.
We believe that this will open the door for the preaching of the gospel. Here is a letter from our partner organization in the region “Ray of Hope” that we would like to share with you.

“Due to the tragic events that occurred in the south of Kyrgyzstan, hundreds of people are killed, several thousand injured and hundreds of thousands are left homeless and without livelihoods. Although many international organizations sent humanitarian aid to the disaster area, this aid is not reaching those in need, hundreds of thousands of people remain in dire need, they have no food, clothes and a place to stay, as all their possessions were looted and burned.
With the help of local churches, as well as churches and missions of other countries near and far abroad, we were able to provide a one-time assistance to over 2000 needy in Osh and Jalal-Abad.

On 1 of July we purchased and distributed about 20 tons of food, clothing, shoes, soap, detergents, medicines valued at $ 28000. At this moment the situation is critical: many people are starving, they do not have clothes, shoes, and those who have returned to their homes, sit in the ashes of despair, not knowing what to do next. They fear to go to the city to buy the necessities and many of the families have no money at all.

More than 2000 buildings have been burned and destroyed. We see as very important to help people repair damaged homes, and where homes can not be reconstructed, to build 2-room mud huts.

According to preliminary estimates for a family of four - five people we need approximately $2500 to $3000. Our brothers will supervise the construction process only. The victims would build their temporary dwellings themselves. For the elderly, widows and disabled, our brothers, as well as volunteers from abroad would actually build the dwelling.

We urge all who care about the disadvantaged people in Kyrgyzstan, who had to suffer so much, to respond and help as with humanitarian assistance, as well as tools and practical help to alleviate the sufferings of the displaced families. May God richly bless you!”

“War in Kyrgyzstan”...

The mission organization “Ray of Hope” is doing ministry in Kyrgyzstan for many years...
The beauty of Kyrgyzstan’s landscape...

Ethnic cleansing. The uzbeks fear for their lives and flee the country...

Dear Brothers and Sisters, Peace be unto you!

“My help comes from the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth” Ps. 120: 2. We thank you for your prayers and intercessions for Kyrgyzstan. After the revolution on April 7, 2010, the power passed into the hands of the Provisional Government, which has failed to take control of the situation in the Republic. In the south of the country the situation is completely out of control.

The militants seized some armored vehicles and an unlimited amount of ammunition and weapons. As a consequence of the five-day war we have hundreds of killed people, thousands wounded and many burned and destroyed homes. Government agencies and private buildings are destroyed, and about 100,000 refugees seeking refuge in neighboring republics.
What will happen tomorrow, we do not know, but we have an almighty God, who has the power and authority on earth and in heaven. And we once again so clearly saw His intervention in those days.

It is worth noting that until now not a single believer was injured, their homes and property remained intact. The churches in all towns and villages were left untouched. This is a special grace of God and an apparent miracle.
The “House of Prayer” in the city of Osh is located in an area largely populated by Uzbeks. A huge crowd of angry people moved toward the church, killing people, burning houses and destroying everything on their way. When they were literally a hundred yards from the building, from somewhere a tank with soldiers appeared. They opened fire, people began to disperse, and never returned to the street.

This was in the town of Jalal-Abad, where the crowd was already near the House of Prayer, the Lord stirred up an opposition in between them, people stopped and began to argue, quarrel among themselves, then turned and went in the opposite direction. We asked everyone to pray for Suzaku, a large Uzbek village, there lives a group of Uzbek believers. The militants tried twice to destroy this village, but the Lord every time prevented them from doing so. The situation seemed hopeless, the village was under siege, and a large angry crowd was approaching. The unarmed people in the village were in despair.
At the same time thousands of people were praying to God to protect their children, and He did a miracle. Just before they entered the village, the Lord has sent soldiers, who prevented the atrocity, and they pushed the militants back, who were forced to return to Jalal-Abad.

This is ethnic cleansing and a targeted war against the Uzbeks. They are killed, and their houses are burned. In the center of Jalal-Abad and Osh the militants distribute arms and ammunition, and call for the destruction of the Uzbeks.
In many towns and villages we have Christian brothers and sisters who live their. They are now in danger. Please, pray that the Lord might protect them and the cities and stop the fratricidal war. Our hope is in the Lord.

There is a disastrous situation in the south of the country. Hundreds of thousands of ethnic Uzbeks have gathered in the refugee camps on the border with Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan, but the borders are closed, refugees are not allowed to cross the border.

People are in the heat in the open without water, without food, without the basic necessities of life. Humanitarian aid is not reaching them, it is blocked in Osh and Jalal-Abad. The villages that were attacked by bandits suffer a lot. There is no water, no electricity, no gas, no food, and the looting continues.

For our part we are trying to do what we can. Thanks to donations that were made by our brothers and sisters, mostly from our churches, we could purchase approximately 10 tons of food. The first truck with aid was sent on Friday June 18 to the church in Jalal-Abad. The church began to distribute this assistance, especially among believers, and then visited some Uzbek villages, putting their own lives at risk.

June 21, we sent a second transport, which is intended for the church in Osh and the surrounding villages. This is a ministry of humanitarian assistance, we want to continue. We do not have enough money, but we pray and believe that God will help.

Daycare Centers

Children's Centers in Romanovka, in Balykchy and day-care center in Maevka were organized for children from disadvantaged families and street children.

Age of children attending the center is 6 to 16 years. The purpose of the childcare centers is to provide social and spiritual help, and teach the kids about the loving Father in Heaven and do everything possible to help them become children of God.

Before the children came to the center, many of them knew the very bad side of life (to beg, steal, use drugs, etc.). In the center the kids are served breakfast and lunch. For those in need we have cloth and shoos available.

There are Bible lessons and hobby clubs for all ages. We also teach the kids the basics of school knowledge. Many of the older children still do not know how to read and write. Here they learn the alphabet and mathematics. Through these centers, children not only learn about God and come to Christ, but we also reach their relatives (parents, grandfathers, grandmothers, and the foster parents). Children participate in the worship service, where we also invite, their caretakers.

Today, nearly 80 children come to the centers every day. One child costs the center $20 per month ($ 240 - per year). To provide for 80 children in one year we need - $ 19,200. We would be thankful for your prayers and financial help to support us in our endeavor to reach the street kids in Kyrgyzstan.

Bishkek

In the fall of 2007 we introduced the project "Feeding the Poor" in Bishkek - Kyrgyzstan. In November of 2007 we gave close to $10,000 to the local ministry "Ray of Hope" to finance the project. This funds were used to feed 45 poor people throughout the year. The ministry "Ray of Hope" is thanking everyone who participated in this project. Regularly, once a week in two cafeterias of the city are services held for everyone who gets a warm lunch. The pensioners get acquainted with believers and soon show up in church. Many of the old people were leading scientists in the past, but today are leading a below poverty line existence. Some have testified to the fact that the only warm meal throughout the day is the meal that they get from the local Christians. For many who come this is a splendid lunch, and they don't eat it all at once, but divide it in half. The second half they take home, so they will have something to eat in the evening.

"Feeding the Poor" is an ongoing project of "New Fields" and any donations are welcomed. For just $20 a month you could feed a warm meal one person and that six times a week. If God leads you to support this project please write a check to "New Fields" with the memo: "Feeding the Poor". May our good works done in the name of the Lord lead many poor and despaired old people in Kyrgyzstan to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ.

Dear friends in Jesus Christ, if God leads you to support the mission in Kyrgizstan we ask you to send us your designated, tax-deductible donation securely through Google.

Thank you for supporting our ministry and may God reward your giving according to His riches and grace!
